Matthew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Victoria Lyons (Souza)
I grew up in a good Christian home. My Father (Matt Souza) was a youth pastor, evangelist, and assistant Pastor all before I was 16. When I was eight years old, I realized the need of salvation. My mother was there and walked me through the plan of salvation. I prayed right there at our kitchen table to be saved. I was starting to question my salvation during my freshman year of college. One day, after chapel, my friend comes to me and tells me she just got saved! That got me thinking. I went to the Dean of Ladies and told her how I was feeling, and she helped me through it. I got assurance of my salvation that day!
Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to travel the world and see all the different sights. God has used that to burden my heart for foreign missions. At sixteen, I was able to go to Thailand for a two-week missions’ trip. During that time, I saw a desperate need for Christ, not only in Thailand but all around the world. While in college I knew the Lord wanted me in missions. My junior year I surrendered my life. I am humbled that the Lord has chosen us to fulfill His calling to the country of Spain.
